Minimally Invasive Microdisectomy

Patients with lumbar disc herniations who fail to improve from conservative treatments may benefit from a lumbar microdisectomy.  At CBSI, our surgeons use minimally invasive techniques to remove the part of the disc herniation that is compressing the nerve.  The incision is small and there is minimal cutting of healthy back muscles.  Patients often report improvement of back pain, leg pain, sensory changes, and the ability to walk.
