Nicole Chasnow, PA-C
Nicole has worked for Colorado Brain and Spine Institute since 2014. She grew up in Indiana, received her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University in Louisiana, and went to Red Rock’s physician assistant program here in Colorado. She enjoys working closely with patients and their families to offer the best care possible. In her free time, Nicole enjoys hanging out with her 2 young children and exploring Colorado.
Margaret Gasienica, PA-C
Margaret joined the CBSI team in 2013. She is originally from Winter Park, Colorado, and attended The University of Colorado, Boulder for her undergraduate degree. She received her Physician Assistant certification at Red Rocks Physician Assistant Program and her master’s in Medical Science at St. Francis University. In her free time, Margaret enjoys spending time outdoors: mountain biking, hiking with her pups, backpacking, camping, and snowboarding.
Madison Ellis, PA-C
Madison joined the CBSI team in 2015. She received her undergraduate degree at Northwest Nazarene University, and her Masters of Science in Medicine at Trevecca Nazerene University. Her favorite thing about neurosurgery is all the complexities and intricacies this field has to offer. In her free time, Madison likes to feed the puppies at the local animal shelter, and hike the great Colorado outdoors.
Rebecca Smith, NP-C
Rebecca Smith lives in the Denver area with her husband and two children. She is originally from Indianapolis, Indiana and attended Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Rebecca has been a Nurse Practitioner in the neurosurgery field for 5 years. She finds the neurosurgery field fascinating because the central nervous system is so intricate and influences all other body systems. In her free time, Rebecca loves to run, hike, bike, ski, and spend time with her family.
Kelly Wong, PA-C
Kelly is from Bakersfield, California. She completed her undergraduate degree at San Diego State and completed her graduate degree at Western University of Health Sciences. Her favorite thing about neurosurgery is that it is exciting and she loves always learning new things about the brain, and different functions it controls. In her free time, Kelly like to hang out with her dogs and husband. She also likes playing volleyball.
Clare Gutzwiller, PA-C
Clare is a recent graduate of the University of New England in Portland, Maine. She spent most of her childhood in Indiana and graduated from Indiana University with a BS in Nutrition Science and minors in chemistry and biology. She became interested in neurosurgery during her clinical year in PA school and worked as a student on a neurosurgical service. Her love for the outdoors is one of the things that brought her to Colorado and she takes advantage of every opportunity to enjoy it. She spends her free time hiking, biking, skiing, swimming, running, and so much more.
